I'll Be Back
He goes to help
He says he'll be fine
He trained you see
I'll be back soon
Then we'll be free.
A knock on the door
A lump in my throat
I can barely breath
I open the door
The Army Chaplains are all I see!

ReplyDeleteThank you. I haven't lost a loved one to war. But to think of those we have lost as a whole is so disheartening!
Deleteugh....what a hard reality...watched a vid just the other day on those that go to tell families...ugh...you did well spinning the emotions....
ReplyDeleteYes, it is not a job I would want! thanks for the post.
Deletethat made me freeze in shock...so tough..
